Triumph just super-sized its popular Trident. The new 2026 Trident 800 is here, and it’s packing a serious punch with a brand-new engine that promises to be the sweet spot for street riders at ₹11.25 lakh.

This isn't just a simple engine swap. The Trident 800 is a completely new model designed to slot perfectly between the friendly Trident 660 and the wild Street Triple. It’s built for riders who want more power without sacrificing the comfort and easy-going nature that made the original Trident so loved.

The Heart of the Matter: A New 798cc Triple

So, what’s this new engine all about? Think of it as the Trident 660’s bigger, stronger sibling. The new 798cc inline-three cylinder engine is built to deliver. It makes a healthy 113 bhp and 84 Nm of torque.

Why should you care? That’s nearly 40% more power than the 660. You get thrilling acceleration for the highway and a broad spread of torque for easy city riding. A bi-directional quickshifter comes standard, making every gear change smooth and instant.

Chassis & Handling: Agile and Confident

Triumph knows that more power needs a better chassis. The Trident 800 gets a new lightweight frame. It’s paired with fully adjustable Showa suspension at the front.

This means you can fine-tune the ride to be plush for commuting or firm for a weekend blast. With a wet weight of just 198 kg, this bike should feel incredibly light and nimble on the road. The 810mm seat height is manageable, and a narrow waist helps shorter riders feel confident at a stop.

You get a full suite of modern electronics. A six-axis IMU manages the show, providing cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control. This means the bike helps keep you safe, even when you’re leaned over in a turn.

Three riding modes (Road, Sport, and Rain) adjust the power and throttle response to suit conditions. Cruise control is standard for long journeys. You also get Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation on the crisp 3.5-inch TFT display.

Design & Style of Triumph Trident 800

The look is unmistakably Trident. It keeps that compact, muscular silhouette we all know. But Triumph has added some nice details. A new headlight cowl, a two-piece seat, and a sporty belly pan give it a more premium and finished appearance.

It will be offered in three classy colours: Ash Grey, Carnival Red, and Jet Black. All three come with handsome gold-finished wheels as standard.
