KTM's New 390 Adventure X Plus Hits Indian Showrooms Ahead of Launch

KTM showrooms across India are now receiving the latest 2025 390 Adventure X Plus motorbike, signaling that the official release is imminent. The new version will replace the existing Adventure X model and is loaded with contemporary technology features such as cornering ABS, traction control, and cruise control, all while staying within an affordable price bracket.

The Austrian motorcycle firm is all set to add to its adventure bike line-up with this new model. Several dealerships have already started receiving the new bike, and that indicates that we might just get an official confirmation by mid-July 2025. Dealers also closed orders for the current 390 Adventure X model, evidently pointing towards a full model switch-over.

The core of the 390 Adventure X Plus continues to be the tested 399cc single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling. This engine continues to deliver about 46 horsepower and 39 Newton-meters of torque. The mechanics have been left untouched, but KTM has worked on enhancing the electronic components as well as rider aid features.

The highlight of the improvement in this new model is the inclusion of a six-axis IMU system. The technology supports various premium-level safety features such as cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and cruise control ability. The three riding modes available for diverse conditions will also advantage riders: Street mode for urban riding, Rain mode for rainy conditions, and Off-road mode for adventure riding.

The motorcycle retains the same frame structure as its predecessor, with the same alloy wheels sized 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the back. The WP Apex suspension system also gets retained without any adjustability features. This configuration keeps the bike mostly biased toward road riding but is still able to handle some light off-road excursions and extended touring journeys.

The price of the new 390 Adventure X Plus is expected to lie between ₹3.00 lakh and ₹3.10 lakh ex-showroom and registration. That is a slight hike over the previous Adventure X, which cost ₹2.91 lakh. The extra price looks reasonable given all the new electronic safety and convenience features being added.

Though KTM is yet to officially confirm the exact launch date or begin taking pre-orders, the shipment of bikes to dealerships hints at a long-awaited announcement in the near future. The general consensus among industry analysts is that the official launch is likely to occur within the immediate next few weeks, considering the current pace and preparation of dealers nationwide.
