KTM RC 160 Spied in Orange; India Launch Expected in 2026

The upcoming KTM RC 160 has been spotted testing again. This new spy shot reveals the bike in a fresh orange paint scheme, bringing it closer to its final production form and an expected launch in early 2026.
What's New in the Latest Spy Shots?
The biggest visual update is the new orange paint. This replaces the earlier white camouflage and gives the bike a classic, aggressive KTM look. The spy shots also confirm it shares components with the 160 Duke, including the same alloy wheels and a familiar LCD instrument console.
What is the KTM RC 160?
This will be KTM's new entry-level fully-faired sports bike for India. It is positioned below the RC 200 and will effectively replace the older RC 125 in the lineup. It aims to be the most affordable way to get into the KTM sports bike family.
What Do We Know About KTM RC 160 Design?
The RC 160 sports the brand's signature sharp and aggressive styling. It mirrors the design of the larger RC 200. It features a trellis frame, USD forks, a monoshock, and a cast aluminium swingarm. It also gets the same LED headlight setup as its bigger sibling.
What Will Power It?
While not officially confirmed, the RC 160 is expected to use the same 164cc engine as the 160 Duke. This motor produces 19 PS and 15.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This will make it significantly more powerful than the RC 125 it replaces.
Who Will It Rival?
With this power output, the RC 160 will be a direct competitor to the Yamaha R15 V4 and the Hero Karizma XMR. It is poised to be a strong new contender in the hotly contested 160cc sports bike segment.
When Will It Launch and For How Much?
The launch is expected in the first quarter of 2026. KTM is likely to price it around Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom). If priced right, it could become the perfect entry point for new riders into the world of KTM performance.
