Zero LS1 Electric Scooter Unveiled for 2026 with Its First Look

Zero Motorcycles is officially entering the urban mobility game. The brand has unveiled the 2026 LS1 scooter at EICMA, marking a strategic shift to attract city commuters and new riders to electric power.
What is the Zero LS1 Scooter?
The LS1 is Zero's first-ever scooter, a major expansion beyond its traditional motorcycles. It is a key part of the company's "All-Access" initiative. The goal is to make electric two-wheelers more approachable for a wider audience, starting with the European market.
How is the LS1 Designed for the City?
The scooter is built for urban agility. It features a compact chassis and a short wheelbase for easy maneuvering in traffic. The seat height is kept low to accommodate most riders comfortably. Key safety features like ABS and traction control come as standard equipment.
What About the Battery and Range?
The LS1 uses a unique swappable battery system. Two batteries are mounted in the floorboard, which keeps the weight low and central for better handling. The standard range is 115 kilometers (71 miles). An optional third battery can be stored under the seat, boosting the range to 170 km (106 miles).
How Long Zero LS1 Scooter Take To Charge?
Charging is flexible. With the included 800W charger, a full charge takes about 4.5 hours. An optional 1500W fast charger cuts that time down to 2.75 hours. The batteries can also be removed and charged separately indoors for maximum convenience.
Storage Space of Zero LS1 Scooter
The under-seat storage is practical. It is large enough to hold a full-face helmet or groceries. This space can also be used to hold the optional third battery, giving you a choice between cargo capacity or extended range.
When and Where Can You Buy It?
Deliveries for the 2026 Zero LS1 are scheduled to begin in December 2025. It will first launch in major European cities, including Paris, Milan, and Barcelona, targeting the core scooter market.
A New Electric Urban Rider
The Zero LS1 represents a significant step for the brand into the competitive urban scooter segment. With its swappable batteries, practical storage, and city-friendly design, it aims to be a compelling new option for eco-conscious commuters.
