What's New?

The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard is a striking and versatile motorcycle, blending the classic Scrambler design with modern, urban-focused features. It’s part of Ducati's broader Scrambler lineup but stands out with its unique supermoto-inspired styling and performance characteristics that make it particularly well-suited for city riding. Engine and Performance: Engine: The Urban Motard is powered by an 803cc, L-twin, Desmodromic, air-cooled engine. This engine is a hallmark of the Scrambler series, known for its reliability, smooth power delivery, and distinctive Ducati exhaust note. Power Output: It delivers around 73.4 PS of power at 8,250 RPM and 66.2 Nm of torque at 5,750 RPM. This power output is well-balanced for both urban riding and the occasional spirited ride. Transmission: The bike features a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, which helps in managing downshifts smoothly, particularly useful in stop-and-go city traffic. Features: Advanced Electronics: The Urban Motard is equipped with Ducati’s cornering ABS, enhancing safety by preventing wheel lock-up during braking, even when leaning into turns. It also includes standard traction control, providing additional stability and control. Instrument Cluster: A modern digital instrument cluster displays essential information such as speed, fuel level, and trip meters, all in a clear, easy-to-read format. Suspension: The suspension system includes Kayaba upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, designed to provide a comfortable and controlled ride on urban roads, with enough travel to handle rougher surfaces or minor off-road excursions.

Verdict

The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard is not an outright street hooligan if that's what you're expecting. But it does the job very well, and if it's the manageable and reliable roadster you're looking to upgrade to, by all means, go and take a test ride! It may not give you an adrenaline rush, but it's no slouch either, and will keep you happy on most occasions. Whether you bring it home or not, it will certainly have you thinking about it, long after that first ride!

Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard

The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard offers a premium motorcycling experience at a more attainable price point. Does it tick all the right boxes?

How’s the design?

The latest version of the Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard comes with a redesigned front fascia with a more contemporary headlamp cluster and LED lighting. There is a daytime running light (DRL) too for the bike while there are four-point adjustable levers, brakes and clutch. There is a new paint theme while the tail lights also get LEDs along with the turn indicators. The exhaust is quite similar to the one seen in the TVS Apache RR310. The bike looks and feels bigger than it actually is.

How is the performance?

The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard has a 313 cc DOHC liquid cooled engine that makes 34 hp and 28 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is also paired to a 6-speed transmission system along with a slipper clutch. There is automatic idle boost for the engine and it sounds a little off-key at the beginning.
